usually, people say that if you walk / run the same amount of distance, you burn the same amount of calories!
and that’s not a stupid question :)

sure ONE workout won’t make a difference but CONSISTENT workouts do. you gotta tell yourself that even though you may not see results right away, you have to wait and be patient and workout almost every day. and most of the time, “i don’t have time” is an excuse. you can squeeze in a 3 mile run, you can wake up an hour earlier, or something like that. if you’re dedicated, you WILL make time to get exercise into your day!

it’s not “bad” per say but consistence is KEY. it’s really important to be consistent in your workouts especially if you’re trying to lose weight or train for something / increase your workout. it’s not unhealthy to eat less on the days you don’t workout but you shouldn’t go below the calories that you need in a day!
eating it once in a while won’t kill you. but i’d avoid it if i were you!

so true! running is physical but a huge part of it is mental. when i go for long runs, i think 75% of it is mental! i just need to keep telling myself to keep going no matter what and i’ll be able to finish!

um ok so bmr is how many calories the LEAST amount of calories you need to survive. like if you stay in bed all day, you need this amount of calories for your body to function properly. you need to calculate how many calories you need (type daily caloric need calculator in google), put in your info, and that amount of calories will take your exercise level into the account and that calorie count is how many you need to maintain your weight. for example, if my daily calorie need is 2000, i would cut it down by 500 to 1500 to lose about a pound a week.
did that help?

if you can’t run past 60 seconds, i suggest walking first. walk a mile, 2 miles, or 3 miles. then walk quickly. and THEN start running. baby steps is key! i mean i started running with 2-3 miles and that was hard!

i feel you. i actually have a friend in that situation. i’ll do a post on how to become confident in the gym and outside. stay tuned!

when i say “enough” of “right” foods, i mean eat enough calories (don’t restrict or else you’ll just get bony) but get those calories from the “right” foods like whole grains, lean protein, healthy fats, and etc.
in order for you to lose fat in general, you need to eat less calories than what you need. so you can calculate your bmr, then subtract 500 from there and that’ll make you lose about a pound a week.
also, for the stomach pooch, HIIT is REALLY important. rather than just low intensity exercises, you need to do high intensity workouts! even if it’s for a shorter amount of time, it’s a hell lot more effective :D

it’s not silly at all! it seems to me you’re trying to eat intuitively. i know this is good because you want to stop mindless eating.
people are advised to eat within an hour after exercising to feed the muscles with the nutrients it needs. i understand when you say you’re not hungry right after a workout because i’m usually not hungry either. but i eat anyways because if i wait, i just go from not hungry —> STARVING! so if i eat, i prevent myself from overeating!
but it’s your choice :)

it’s bad to drink milk that are produced with chemicals and hormones.
look for ones that aren’t, and you’ll be fine!
